Benefits of Membership
AdvertisingChamber advertising brings more visitors to the community, which in turn benefits the local economy. The Chamber Visitor Center is the first place visitors and newcomers to our area stop to get information about the community. We gladly refer these visitors to our member businesses and also distribute members brochures.
Relocation Packets
The Chamber sends out hundreds of relocation packets each year to prospective newcomers to town. For anyone interested in settling in our area this large packet of information gives a complete community profile as well as guides on dining, lodging, churches, realtors, apartment listings, visitor brochures, business services, and information on schools and medical services.
Web Site
The Chamber has a comprehensive web site that showcases the many amenities our area has to offer. We list all chamber members on the membership pages under business classifications and if you have a web page of your own, it can be easily linked to our site. Thousands of people access our web page making your business information available world-wide 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Newsletter
Our quarterly newsletter keeps members abreast of Chamber business, meetings, area news and other items of interest. Members can also utilize our Bulk Mail permit for the cost of their postage. Members must adhere to postal regulations when sorting their mail and a member of our staff must oversee the process.
Meetings
The Chamber holds two Board Meetings per month (the second and fourth Thursday), except during November and December when we have only one meeting per month, on the second Thursday. General Membership meetings are held twice a year and are announced in the newsletter and local newspapers. Our Annual Dinner is held in January and is open to all members. New Board Members and Officers for the coming year are announced, and special awards are presented including the Business Person of the Year.
Ambassadors
The Chamber Ambassadors greet new businesses to town, schedule ribbon cutting ceremonies and often visit established businesses with coffee and donuts. By learning about your business, they are able to pass that information on to other members of the community for networking, and offer publicity through local newspapers and our own newsletter.
Member Decal
Members receive an annual decal to display in the window of their business. Many people rely on these decals when choosing a place to shop.
