The neighboring towns of Reedsport, Gardiner and Winchester Bay
 are located on the Umpqua River, in the Heart of the Oregon Dunes.

Our Coastal Communities are the gateway to 40 miles of undisturbed beaches and the tallest dunes in Oregon. We also claim: the only Lighthouse on the west coast featuring a red lens, spectacular sunsets, a world-class Skate Board Park, magnificent Roosevelt Elk herds, the best fishing on the Oregon Coast, and other abundant wildlife and aviary viewing opportunities.

The rich and diverse natural beauty affords a number of outdoor recreational opportunities including body surfing at the beach, scuba diving, hiking through miles of tall timber, skateboarding, biking, ATVing, boating, fishing, walking the beach, sun bathing at Loon Lake, kayaking on the Umpqua River, splashing in the clear waters of Lake Marie, Whale Watching at the Umpqua River Lighthouse, roasting hot dogs over a beach bonfire, or sitting on one of the beach dunes watching the sun set into the ocean with someone you love.

Learn about interesting things to see and do with a stop at our Visitor Center at the junction of Highways 101 & 38. Get the inside track on where to stay and where to eat from our friendly Chamber staff. Information about the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, hiking and camping areas and access permits are available from U.S. Forest Service personnel at the same place. The 24 hour foyer is stocked with free information, and maps that can help you find area attractions.

We hope this website will provide all the information needed to show you how attractive the Oregon Coast and the Oregon Dunes are. Our Office is located in the Oregon Dunes NRA Building at the junction of Highways 101 & 38

Reedsport, Oregon

Visitor Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
From June 1st through September 1st we are also open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Our foyer is open 24 hours and is stocked with brochures, information and maps.
