Mission Statement

The mission of the Reedsport / Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce is to create an environment in which local business can thrive, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life for our community.

Vision Statement

Our Chamber of Commerce is comprised of an energetic group of local businesses and staff. We enjoy the active involvement of 75% of all local businesses. We are known for a successful slate of year-round events, attracting new businesses and residents, creating an environment for our economy to flourish. We are famous for our promotion of the unique aspects and opportunities of our community.

Business Opportunity

We all know that first impressions are critical. The Reedsport / Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce not only recognizes that idea, but reaffirms it at every opportunity. Whether it be recognizing the efforts of an individual business to enhance their appearance with a beautification award, showcasing member business listings and web sites on our Chamber web page, or helping a new business owner successfully network with others in the community, the Chamber strives to help strengthen our business economy.

The Chamber Board of Directors works hand-in-hand with other entities to enhance business opportunities in the area. Members of the Chamber have leadership roles with the City of Reedsport, the Lower Umpqua Economic Development Forum, the Port of Umpqua, Salmon Harbor Management Committee, Lower Umpqua Hospital, Reedsport Renaissance, the Reedsport School District, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and the Winchester Bay Merchants Association.

Board members also serve various leadership roles in local service organizations and non-profit agencies to enhance the quality of life in our community. Members commit time and resources to groups such as Reedsport Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, the Coastal Arts and Business Alliance and Dean Creek Wildlife, Inc.

The commitment of our members is reflected in every aspect of community life, whether it be economic, civic or the first impression registered by visitors who vacation here. We take pride in our community and seek to promote our amenities at every opportunity.

For a complete list of our member businesses, be sure to click on the Membership Page. It is categorized by areas of specialization and many members also have web sites that you can access.
